Edward Howard brought to clock making mechanical genius, sound technical training and desire to manufacture his clocks to uncompromising standards of quality, reliability and workmanship.

Since 1842, E. Howard & Co. has made the world’s finest clocks. Recognizing Howard’s reputation for accuracy and quality, those requiring extreme reliability – railroads, jewelers and observatories – purchased Howard’s timepieces. And the functional design of a Howard Clock made it the logical choice for banks, offices and schools for over 100 years.

The Boston Customs House (pictured left), the Congressional Library and the Biltmore Estate still feature Howard Clocks. Today, the heart of each of our clocks is still the Howard movement, made to the same precise specifications as the design perfected in 1842 by our founder. Each is a legacy of Edward Howard, dedicated to the fine art of clock making. More History Info
